Key Staff Members: Miss R Hassall, SENDco

At Christ Church CE Primary School we are committed to giving each child every opportunity to reach their full potential in all areas of the curriculum regardless of their gender, ethnicity, social background, religion, physical ability or special educational need, (SEN).  We recognise that every child has unique characteristics, interests, abilities and learning needs and that some may need additional help, support and intervention if they are to achieve their full potential.

According to the Code of Practice (2014) Special Educational Needs is defined as ‘A child or young person that has a learning difficulty or disability which calls for special educational provision to be made for him/her.’ At Christ Church we endeavor to meet the needs of each individual child. All staff are committed to supporting children through their education. We strive to ensure children identified as having special educational needs or being part of a vulnerable group have access to a broad and balanced curriculum and are fully included within the school community.
